DIARY
ENTRY
A Diary entry is a written document
that has some personal details of a person who writes it. It may contain the
writer’s experience, observations, activities, etc.
It is a great tool for memory keeping.
Generally, it is written in past tense
but the writer can add its views and future planning by using other tenses.

AGE HOME Dear diary, Today, I had a very bad experience in my life and
I became sad. Actually, I visited an old age home. There were many old
people. They were lonely, sick, and unhappy. Though they had good food and
medical facilities, they were under depression. Their children left them. I and my parents talked to them for hours. It
helped them to forget their woes only for some time. They were missing their
own children and grandchildren. We left the old age home and returned
home. I promised myself one thing. I will look after my parents when I grow
up. I will never leave them like this. I will never forget this visit in my

2nd July 2019 Monday 8:00 pm FIRST DAY IN MY
NEW SCHOOL Dear diary, Today I had a very good experience in my life and
became very excited. Actually, I joined my new school. There was a very big
playground and many beautiful small gardens. The school was very big but everybody
was disciplined. My class teacher was nice to me. She introduced me to the
entire class. I sat in the front row with Manu the class monitor. She helped
me in doing my pending work. During lunch, we shared our lunch. In the music
period, we visited the music room and played guitar. She gave me her
notebooks for a home to complete my work. I like her very much. Now, I am feeling good about the new school. I

13th Dec 2020 Sunday 8:00pm Hello Diary I WISH I WERE A PIGEON Today, I had a very good experience of my life. I
saw a group of pigeons on my roof. I felt excited to see them. Whenever I see
them, I wish if I were a bird and I could also fly like them. If I were a
pigeon, I would roam here and there all day long. I would also enjoy the top
view of all the buildings from above. If I felt hungry, I would eat
fruits of his choice. I would fly high in the sky and enjoy the cool breeze.
I would not even have to go to school. I wouldn't have to study and neither
have to worry what Mumma or teachers will say. The whole day I would do
whatever I wanted. I would also keep all my friends with me. What a life it would be! Thanks for listening to

2020 Sunday 8:00pm I WISH I WERE A RICH MAN Hello Diary Today, I had a very good experience in my
life. A very rich gentleman came to my school. Their way of behaviour
fascinated me. I thought If I were a rich person, what would I do? Surely,
I would fulfill all the dreams of my parents. I would roam around the
world and see all the beauties of nature. I would experience and enjoy
everything around me. I would make my home in the countryside. I would live
happily with all my family members in that house. Other than self-pleasure, I would start an NGO
for stray animals. I would try to help others appropriately in every possible
way I could. I would never scream at others. Unlike other rich people, I
would behave politely and respectfully. With the hope that I will be a very rich man

1ST September, 2020 Wednesday 9:00 pm IF I WERE A QUEEN Dear Diary Today I had a very good experience in my life. I
was very excited to get First prize in story telling. It was a book of
stories about queens . I wish I were a queen and live my life like them. I
would get up late in the morning. I would call my maids for all my works. I
would make up for hours and then move out of my palace to visit beautiful
places. People would greet me and bow their head in front of me. I would
order for delicious food and drinks. I would also be humble queen so I would
help poor people. I would also punish the rude and wicked people. I would ride horse and go to jungle with my
soldiers and maids. I would live a royal life. What a good life it would be!

13th Dec 2019 Thursday 9:30 pm BEGGAR BECAME SHOPKEEPER Dear diary I want to tell you something very interesting. I was returning from my
school and sitting at the window seat in my school bus. Our bus got a
technical default; hence, we were waiting for another bus to drop us to our
homes. I saw that a person had been begging on the road in front of a temple.
Suddenly, I saw a man came to the beggar. He had few rose sticks in his hand.
He arranged all the rose sticks in a row on a newspaper in front of the
beggar and then he took one stick and paid for the stick to the beggar. We
were surprised to see this. Then one more lady came and bought to sticks from
the beggar. Now, the beggar became the shopkeeper. One by one people came and
bought the sticks from the beggar. The young man’s idea changed the earning
source of that poor man. Then our new bus arrived and we moved from there.

12 November, 2018 Saturday, 10 pm VISIT TO
MY HOME PLACE Hello Diary In my summer vacation, I went to meet my
grandparents. They live in a village far from our city. in her
village. Before that I was under the impression that village life is far
inferior to the city. But I was wrong. Village life is far better than the
city. Villages are neat, calm and pollution-free. Now, almost every facility
like-electricity, TV connection, Internet. Good roads and transport is found
in villages. My grandparents, chacha ji, tauji, chichi ji and
taiji welcomed me more than anything. My grandmother cooked
delicious food with lassi, gujhiya, etc. I stayed there for three days. I
slept under the tree. I woke up early in the morning and went to the farms
with my cousins. I also bathed in tube well water. I plucked fruits directly
from trees. I was a fun for me. I did not want to come back but I had to. If I will get a chance, I would love to be there with my joint family
