LEADER
A ‘Leader can lead a team towards a pre-decided goal and get success. He has some specific qualities and skills that help him to be a successful leader. He also motivates others to complete a series of tasks according to a schedule.



Leadership
  • Leadership is the ability of anyone to lead, influence, or guide other individuals, teams, or entire organization to reach the desired goal. 
  • With the passing of time, leadership can be developed and enhanced; hence it is also considered a skill. 
  • It helps a leader to visualize the best possible way to reach a common goal. 
  • Leadership is not just one skill but rather a combination of several different skills working together to build a successful leader. 
Importance of a good leader in an organization
Any organization, whether small or big, needs leaders for its success. Without a good leader, an organization cannot meet its success. Leaders are important because-

1.   Decisiveness
Decisiveness means making decisions quickly based on the information received. It is a valuable leadership skill because it gives speed to a project and improves the efficiency of the team members. With time and experience, a leader becomes able to make decisions faster, even when he doesn’t have all of the necessary information. 
2.   Integrity
Integrity defines the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles.  Leaders have a set of strong moral values. Integrity in the workplace is very important for maintaining a positive image. A leader with integrity makes ethical choices and becomes more valuable.
3.   Relationship building (or team building)
A strong relationship is the first requirement of a team. A leader builds and maintains a strong and collaborative team. A leader takes care of the emotions of team members because emotions bind people with each other. Effective communication skills and conflict resolution help a leader to build a strong team.
4.   Problem-solving
Problems can emerge from anywhere and finding their solution is the foremost requirement. A leader finds all the possible ways to resolve the issue. Problem-solving skills help a leader make quick decisions, resolve obstacles, and ensure project completion on time.
5.   Dependability
Dependability means that people trust and rely on the leader. A dependable leader always keeps promises. A leader is knowledgeable, innovative, and reasonable so that people can believe that they will get the solution to their problems. He creates a resilient team that is able to work through difficulties that may arise.
6.   Mentorship
One of the skills that differentiate a leader from others is to teach and mentor. A leader with mentorship skills easily guides the whole team. He thinks of all the possible ways to make his team successful.
7.   Trustworthy
Trust is the key trait of leadership. A leader cannot lead if his team members do not trust him. With his knowledge and intellect, a leader builds trust in his team members. Only a trustworthy leader is respected and followed by his team members without a doubt or a question. A good leader is always trustworthy.
8.   Values
Values are basic individual beliefs that motivate people to act one way or another. They serve as a guide for human behavior. Leadership values also help grow and develop both personally and professionally. A leader always has a strong set of values that build his respect and trust among the team.
9.   Confidence
Self-confidence is an attitude that comes due to strong skills and abilities. It means a person trusts himself and has a sense of control. It is an essential part of leadership. A leader with self-confidence thinks positively about the future and is willing to take the risks necessary to achieve personal and professional goals. Self-confidence comes with knowledge, practicing an act, and risk-taking ability.
10.      Courage
Courage is the ability to control fear in an odd situation that may be dangerous or unpleasant. Courageous leadership is desirous by every organization. A courageous leader guides their staff with a firm belief of their winning and motivates them to do their jobs to the best of their ability.
11.      Orator
Orator means a very good public speaker. A leader should be a good orator. This quality helps him to remove the distress and depression of team members during negativity. A good enthusiastic speech does magic and helps the team members regain their strength and move forward positively.
12.      Good Communication Skills:

Communication skill is an umbrella skill that involves verbal (listening, speaking, reading, and writing), non-verbal, and interpersonal skills. Communication skills help a leader to listen to someone and read a document carefully so that he can speak prudently and write impactfully. It also helps him to communicate with others impressively.
