•     INTRODUCTION

          'Morning Raaga' दो अलग-अलग तरह की दुनियाओं के मिलन के बारे में है। यह एक ऐसी कहानी है जो आधुनिक और पारंपरिक सोच को एक साथ लाती है, अतीत को वर्तमान के साथ, कर्नाटक संगीत को पश्चिमी संगीत के साथ इस तरह से जोड़ती है, जैसे  कि इतिहास में मानवता, भाग्य और व्यक्तिगत विकल्पों के साथ संयोग को पहले कभी नहीं देखा गया था। यह हमारे समय की कहानी है जहाँ हमारी अलग-अलग दुनियाएँ एक दूसरे के साथ बातचीत कर रही हैं।

•       PLOT

       कहानी तीन मुख्य पात्रों पर केंद्रित है जिनका जीवन पिछली त्रासदियों से बर्बाद हो गया है। कहानी बताती है कि सभी पात्र  कैसे परिस्थितियों के कारण एक जुट हो जाते हैं। ये तीनों संगीत के प्रेम से जुड़े हुए हैं, और इनके माध्यम से फिल्म  भारतीय शास्त्रीय कर्नाटक संगीत, राग और समकालीन भारतीय संगीत के तत्वों की खोज करती है।

•        कहानी में एक शास्त्रीय गायक, अन्य दो युवा संगीतकारों की मदद से अपनी  पिछली त्रासदी पर विजय प्राप्त करती है। अतीत और वर्तमान, परंपरा और परिवर्तन के बारे में यह  एक बेहतरीन  कहानी, जिसमें जैज़ और भारतीय शास्त्रीय संगीत का एक उत्कृष्ट संयोजन है।

•      SUMMARY

           कहानी एक ऐसे गाँव से शुरू होती है जहाँ एक शास्त्रीय कर्नाटक गायिका स्वर्णलता रहती है। उसकी दोस्त वैष्णवी हमेशा एक वायलिन वादक के रूप में उसका साथ देती है। स्वर्णलता का सपना था कि वह अपने सुदूर गाँव से दूर एक शहर में एक संगीत कार्यक्रम प्रस्तुत करे। उसे एक अवसर मिलता है और स्वर्णलता और वैष्णवी दोनों (अपने-अपने बच्चों के साथ) शहर के लिए एक बस में अपनी यात्रा शुरू करते हैं। हालांकि, बस दुर्घटना का शिकार हो जाती है और पुल से नदी में गिर जाती है। हादसे में वैष्णवी की और स्वर्णलता के बेटे की मौत हो जाती है। लेकिन यह स्वर्णलता के लिए एक बुरा सपना बन जाता है। वह स्वयं को इस घटना के लिए उत्तरदायी मान लेती है और बीस साल तक आत्म-निर्वासन में चली जाती है। अपने को स्वयं में ही कैद कर लेती है।

•        वैष्णवी का बेटा अभिनय शहर में  जिंगल बनाता था परन्तु वह इन छोटी-छोटी चीजों  में अपना समय बर्बाद करने के बजाय संगीत की दुनिया में स्वयं को असली कलाकार साबित करना चाहता है।

•        20 साल बाद वैष्णवी का बीटा अपनी माँ की बरसी पर गाँव आता है। गाँव में अभिनय  के पिता रहते हैं।  उनकी संगीत में बिलकुल भी रूचि नहीं है।  वो अभिनय को इससे दूर रहने के लिए कहते हैं।  कहानी में पिता और पुत्र के संबंधों को दर्शाया है।  अभिनय के पिता उसकी माँ की परवाह नहीं करते थे और उस की मृत्यु के बाद भी उसे ही दोषी मानते हुए शिकायत करते रहते हैं । अभिनय को अपने पिता का यह रूप पसंद नहीं है।  एक दिन अभिनय को अपनी माँ की वायलिन मिल जाती है।  एक दिन अभिनय स्वर्णलता की मधुर आवाज़ सुनता है जब वह नदी के किनारे गाना गा रही होती है। इस प्रकार गाँव में वह स्वर्णलता से मिलता है, लेकिन स्वर्णलता को डर है कि अभिनय  अपनी माँ की मौत के लिए उसे दोषी ठहराएगा।

•        संयोग से प्रियंका उर्फ पिंकी उसी गाँव  में अभिनय से मिलती है और उसे प्रोत्साहित करने का फैसला करती है। वे दोनों जब शहर जा रहे होते हैं तो उन्हें दो अन्य कलाकार मिलते हैं और वे उन  दो अन्य कलाकारों, एक जैज़ (ड्रम वादक) और एक गिटारवादक को अपने साथ जोड़ते हैं और एक संगीत मंडली शुरू करते हैं।

•        पिंकी की माँ (मिसिस कपूर), जोकि संगीत को पसंद करती हैं, उन सभी को उनके स्टोर में प्रैक्टिस करने की अनुमति दे देतीं हैं।

•        वास्तव में पिंकी  की माँ को अच्छा लगता है कि नौजवान कला और संगीत से जुड़े रहें।  वह पिंकी के पिता की मृत्यु के बाद थोड़ी सी ज्यादा परवाह करती हैं जिसे पिंकी समझ नहीं पाती है और उनसे बहस करती रहती है।

•        मिसिस कपूर पिंकी को उसके पिता के बारें में बताती हैं कि किस तरह से उसके पिता शराब पीकर उसे मारा पीटा करते थे और किस तरह से उसके पिता ने शराब पीकर तेज गाड़ी चलाते हुए कितने ही गॉव वालों को मार दिया था।  मिसिस कपूर पिंकी के पिता को उन सभी की मृत्यु का उत्तरदायी मानती हैं।

•        संगीत मण्डली अच्छा करती है लेकिन वे स्वयं की ही उम्मीदों पर खरे नहीं उतर सके। अभिनय को अपने बैंड में स्वर्ण लता की आवाज़ की कमी महसूस होती है। हार से परेशान, अभिनय  गाँव  लौटता है और स्वर्णलता से उनके समूह में आने और गाने के लिए विनती करता है। इसी बीच अभिनय के पिता स्वर्ण लता से अभिनय से दूर रहने के लिए कहते हैं। वह कहते है की संगीत में कुछ नहीं रखा है। इस पर स्वर्णलता बहुत नाराज होती है और वह अभिनय के प्रस्ताव को स्वीकार कर लेती है।

•         हालाँकि, वादा करने के बाद भी वह कार्यक्रम में शामिल नहीं हो सकी क्योंकि शहर जाते हुए उनकी कार खराब हो जाती है और जैसे ही स्वर्ण लता बस में बैठने के लिए जाती है उसकी पुरानी  यादें ताज़ा हो जाती हैं और वह चीखते हुए बस से उतर कर घर की ओर  भाग जाती है। पुल पार करते समय उसे उसका अतीत (बस दुर्घटना) सताता है।

•        स्वर्ण लता के पति  उसकी इस मानसिक स्थिति को समझते है और उसकी मदद करना चाहते है ताकि वह उस दुख को भूलकर अपना  सामान्य जीवन जी सके और वह सब प्राप्त कर सके जो वह पाना चाहती थी। इसीलिए वह हमेशा उसे अभिनय की सहायता करने के लिए प्रेरित करते हैं।

•         अभिनय के संगीत के प्रति लगाव को देखते हुए स्वर्ण लता पिंकी को कर्नाटक संगीत (सिंधु भैरवी ) में प्रशिक्षित करने का फैसला करती है। पिंकी इसे स्वीकार कर लेती है क्योंकि वह जानती है कि उसके पिता ही इन गॉव वालों की मृत्यु के लिए उत्तरदायी थे।

•        संगीत के प्रति अपने जुनून के अलावा, स्वर्णलता, अभिनय  और पिंकी कुछ और भी साझा करते हैं और वो है पुल पर पुरानी दुर्घटना। पिंकी के पिता नशे की हालत में लापरवाही से अपनी कार चलाते हैं और दुर्घटना का कारण बनते हैं। स्वर्ण लता अपने पुत्र और सहेली को बस दुर्घटना में खो देती है और अभिनय अपनी माँ को।

•        स्वर्ण लता से पिंकी को कर्नाटक संगीत का पूरा प्रशिक्षण मिलता है और अब वह समूह मंच पर प्रस्तुति देने के लिए पूरी तरह तैयार है। लेकिन अभिनय और पिंकी चाहते हैं कि स्वर्णलता उनके समूह में आए और गाए, परन्तु स्वर्ण लता ने इस बात के लिए मना कर दिया।

•        अभिनय और पिंकी शहर में एक समारोह का आयोजन करते करते हैं और स्वर्ण लता के बहुत मनाने का प्रयास करते हैं परन्तु  वह नहीं मानती।

•        परन्तु उन्हें आशचर्य चकित करते हुए  स्वर्णलता कार्यक्रम में आती है और अभिनय से कहती है कि संगीत एक कभी न खत्म होने वाली यात्रा है और मैं तुम्हारे लिए गाऊँगी -मेरे बच्चे।  पिंकी के कहने पर स्वर्णलता गाना शुरू कर देती है। मंच प्रदर्शन की विशेषता होती है - कर्नाटक और पश्चिमी संगीत का सही मिश्रण है, जिसे फ्यूजन संगीत कहा जाता है।

•        शहर में प्रदर्शन करने के स्वर्णलता के सपने को पूरा करने और क्लासिक और पश्चिमी संगीत को सही तालमेल के साथ सम्मिश्रण करने के अभिनय के सपने के साथ कहानी एक सुखद नोट पर समाप्त होती है।

 

• 'Morning Raaga' is about the union of two different worlds. It is a story that brings together modern and traditional thinking, combining the past with the present, Carnatic music with Western music in such a way that was never seen, earlier, in the history of the coincidence with humanity, fate and personal choices. This is the story of our times where our different worlds are interacting with each other.

• The story focuses on three main characters whose lives have been ruined by past tragedies. The story tells how all the characters come together due to circumstances. All three are linked by a love of music, and through these the film explores elements of Indian classical Carnatic music, ragas and contemporary Indian music.

• In the story, a classical singer overcomes her past tragedy with the help of two other young musicians. A wonderful story about past and present, tradition and change, a classic amalgamation of jazz and Indian classical music.

• The story begins in a village where Swarnalata, a classical Carnatic singer, lives. Her friend Vaishnavi always accompanies him as a violinist. Swarnalata had a dream to perform a concert in a city far from her remote village. She  gets an opportunity and both Swarnalata and Vaishnavi (along with their respective children) start their journey in a bus to the city. However, the bus meets with an accident and falls into the river from the bridge. Vaishnavi and Swarnalata's son die in the accident. But it turns out to be a nightmare for Swarnalata. She holds herself responsible for the incident and goes into self-exile for twenty years. She imprisons himself.

• Vaishnavi's son used to make jingles in the acting city but instead of wasting his time in these small things, he wants to prove himself as a real artist in the world of music.

• After 20 years, Vaishnavi's son comes to the village on his mother's death anniversary. Abhinay's father lives in the village. He has no interest in music at all. He tells Abhinay to stay away from it. The story depicts the relationship between father and son. Abhinay's father did not care for his mother and even after her death, keeps complaining, and blaming her. Abhinay does not like this behaviour and attitude of his father. One day Abhinay gets his mother's violin. One day Abhinay hears Swarnalata's melodious voice while she is singing a song by the river. Thus, in the village he meets Swarnalata, but Swarnalata fears that  Abhinaya will blame her for her mother's death.

• Incidentally, Priyanka aka Pinky meets Abhinay in the same village and decides to encourage her. When the two of them are on their way to town, they meet two other artists and they enlist two other artists, a jazz (drum player) and a guitarist, and start a musical troupe.

• Pinky's mother (Mrs. Kapoor), who loves music, allows them all to practice in her store.

• In fact, Pinky's mother loves young people to be involved in art and music. She cares a little more after the death of Pinky's father which Pinky does not understand and keeps on arguing with him.

• Mrs. Kapoor tells Pinky about her father, how her father used to beat her after drinking and how her father had killed many villagers while driving a drunken vehicle. Mrs Kapoor holds Pinky's father responsible for all of their deaths.

• The music troupe does well but they could not live up to their own expectations. Abhinay misses Swarna Lata's voice in his band. Distressed by the defeat, Abhinay returns to the village and begs Swarnalata to come and sing in their group. Meanwhile, Abhinay's father Swarna tells Lata to stay away from acting. He says that nothing is kept in music. This angers Swarnalata and she accepts the offer of acting.

• However, despite the promise, she could not attend the event as her car breaks down on her way to the city and as soon as Swarna Lata goes to board the bus her old memories are refreshed and she jumps out of the bus screaming. She gets down and runs towards the house. While crossing the bridge, he is haunted by his past (bus accident).

• Swarna Lata's husband understands her mental state and wants to help her so that she can forget that misery and live her normal life and achieve all that she wanted. That's why he always motivates her to help her with acting.

• Seeing the love for music of acting, Swarn Latha decides to train Pinky in Carnatic music (Sindhu Bhairavi). Pinky accepts this as she knows that her father was responsible for the death of these villagers.

• Apart from their passion for music, Swarnalata, Abhinay and Pinky share something else in common and that is the old accident on the bridge. Pinky's father recklessly drives his car in a drunken state and causes an accident. Swarn Lata loses her son and friend in a bus accident and Abhinay her mother.

• Pinky gets full training in Carnatic music from Swarn Latha and is now all set to perform on the group stage. But Abhinay and Pinky want Swarnalatha to come and sing in their group, but Swarnalatha refuses to do so.

• Abhinay and Pinky organize a function in the city and Swarna tries to convince Lata a lot but she does not agree.

• But to their surprise, Swarnalatha comes to the show and tells Abhinay that music is a never-ending journey and I will sing for you - my children. On Pinky's behest, Swarnalata starts singing. Stage performance is characterized by - the perfect blend of Carnatic and Western music, which is called fusion music.

• The story ends on a happy note with Swarnalatha fulfilling her dream of performing in the city and acting as she dreams of blending classic and western music in perfect harmony.
